the journey to experience design

Screen-based society is being accommodated in architecture
Another evolving force to accommodate is the on-screen media making its way into every spatial environment. It seems no space is sacred or safe from a monitor seeking your attention. Starting out as innocent room-minders, scheduling the conference room or the welcome monitor stationed at the front door, media has become entire spatial planes supporting the cultural shift away from word-based messages to imagery-based communications. Screens that once broadcast and informed you now interact and perform with you. The ubiquitous screen grows ever bigger and becomes the enclosure rather than the item being applied to it. Scale has exploded with media cladding external façades cladding the external façade as has shape which has left the rectangle far behind. All these developments are creating opportunities for content creation and it is the architectural underpinning for this media these allows environment designers access to that market.
